Today we had a nice visit at RIKT. 27 fantastic students from four different countries came to join us. They are all a part of an Erasmus+ project, with participators in Polen, Slovenia, Greece and Kungsgårdskolan here in Ängelholm. Our mission today was to work with digital tools. We only had 70 minutes so it was a high speed session.
After a short presentation we did a quiz to find out what we knew about each others countries. It wasn’t that easy but as you can see the Geography was quite ok. We used Mentimeter as a tool.
One of the aim with this session was to get to know each other a little bit more. In research studies a positive climate and good relations between teachers/students is important.
We used a Google Classroom were we handed out the tasks. They got 15 minutes to prepare a presentation. As a teacher you can easily reach all the presentations and show them on the screen. The next step was that each student got a minute to talk about their presentation and themselves. We were told many interesting things about their homes and interests, I wish we have had more time to discuss. There are many things that unite us. Several of the students had common interests.
The last slide in the presentation was about what they were most interested in concerning the future. As you can read here many of them are concerned about their education, the environment and how to make the world a better place – it gives us hope!
We used Mentimeter once again and made an exit ticket.
After the visit they walked to Kungsgårdsskolan to continue the day. It was a real pleasure to meet all these nice students – thank you!
Kind regards Per and Nils
